I havent fóund a cause ór cure. Access seems tó corrupt databases ón some setups. I changed thé compatibility tó Win 95 in the properties dialog box and it went away. I dont knów which one fixéd the problem bécause I installed thém both one aftér the othér, but I switchéd compatibility off ánd no longer gét the message abóut multiple users. I have béen using MS 0ffice 97 on Windows 98 for several years without any problem. Recently I hád to changé my hárd disk (the oId one got severaI bad sectors ánd had to bé discarded). I reinstalled thé OS (windows 9 and MS Office 97 from the original CDs (I own original versions). Now when I launch MS Access it gives the message that MS Access can not be opened as there is no license for it on this machine.
